Gone Servin' was a great success!

A big "THANK YOU"   students for taking on such an incredible project for "Gone Servin' " weekend!!

Our SPIN ministry students gathered at the church office at 9:00 a.m. to stuff 100 backpacks to be handed out to those who might need help on the streets.  After they organized the donated items students used the assembly line method to fill the bags.  Bags contained items such as breakfast bars, bottled water, t-shirt, socks, towel, wash cloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, chap stick, a cross and a "JESUS LOVES YOU" card.

With the backpacks  filled the students gathered for a time of prayer led by our Family Pastor, Renee Willingham.  Vehicles were loaded and students took the backpacks to various areas of St Pete to distribute to folks who they saw living on the streets.

At 12:30 we gathered back at the church office for pizza and a time to share our experiences.

Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus with those in need!

Thank you to the "Bailey" and "Whipple" Life Groups for serving the students this morning as they prepared the bags and then taking them to their destinations.
