Expect the Unexpected
To get you thinking for camp.
READ IT!
Luke 7:16-23
Mark 15:25-32
Matthew 24:42-50
THINK ABOUT!
-What makes Jesus different from other gods people believe in?
-What characteristics does God have that you think could be classified as "unexpected?"
- How was Jesus different than what the Jews expected the Messiah to be ?
- How has God acted unexpectedly in your own life?
LIVE IT!
Jesus was very different from what people expected the Messiah to be. The Jews thought the Messiah would be either a military leader or a prophet like Moses who would lead them out of oppression, which He did, though spiritually rather than physically. Even though His ways are often unexpected, they are continually pointing to His faithfulness and calling us to remain faithful until His return.

5 Days until Student Life Camp "FLIP"
I hope you are looking forward to camp. We will leave from the church office on July 13 @ 11:00 a.m. The office will be open at 10:30 so you may bring your luggage for loading at this time. Make sure you have eaten lunch or you are bringing your lunch to eat in the van. We will make a snack and bathroom stop during the trip.
Leading the Guys Family Group for the week of camp is our very own Michael Mishoe. We are so blessed to have him join us this year for FLIP. He has been preparing for the bible study time with the guys and brings much camp experience to the the table.
Our Girls Family Group will be led by Lori Amico. Lori also has been preparing for a great bible study time for the girls. She has been very active at BridgePoint and is a member of our management team. You have probably been greeted by her at the door as you enter St Pete High. Lori is joining our SPIN ministry as one of our SPIN Group leaders this fall so enjoy this opportunity to get to know her.

LIGHTS!!
Yesterday in SPIN we started a new XP3 series called "On The Lot", you were challenged with the following questions:
1. Have you ever tried to read your Bible on a regular basis?
2. What obstacles get in the way of your daily reading?
In Psalm 119:105 what do you think David meant when he compared the Bible to a lamp?
The word of God is a light that directs our path. So I want to challenge you this week to read the verses posted daily and think about how God wants to use His Script as a light for your path throughout the day.
Sunday's Verse
10:1 The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother.
Monday's Verse
10:2 Ill-gotten treasures are of no value, but righteousness delivers from death.
